Hunting Evil
by Chris Carter
So, we know the bad guy, we know how good Carter is, which makes this a memorable read. It kept me on the edge, and the psychological game is on a completely different level.
Spoiler alert: But here's the thing that bothered me, Hunter is the super reasoning detective, who the moment he hears Lucien is going for a revenge, not once does he think he'll go against the people close to him (Garcia and Tracy, maybe even captain Barbara). I can't pass that, the moment he find out he could warn Tracy, push her away, think that the Evil will repeat his action in killing the love of his life. Not once, those options were considered, only the Stanford past.
