It's a really fun read and I had a great time with this book! It feels a bit long at time and the ending is a bit rushed. I really like the descriptions and how the author puts you inside Évike's (the main protagonist) mind.
The worldbuilding is really great and the characters beliefs feel rooted in the world. There are some horror elements that are really great too.
For a first book, it's solid. Can't wait to discover the rest of Reid's work!
