Mission Flats by William Landay

2.0

I was anxious to read this book since I loved this author’s book, Defending Jacob. This one starts out slowly and has a few parts that drag, but was still a good read. I didn’t think it was as interesting as Defending Jacob though. In this crime thriller, when a well-known district attorney is found dead, a young police chief Is drawn into the investigation. There are some twists, although none that had the “wow” factor. There is a lot of procedural information about the case, and several sections that are more of the main characters thoughts than action which slowed the book down. Just an average read for me. 2.5/5 stars.
