Arm of the Sphinx by Josiah Bancroft

When I started this book, I was really confused. I wanted to reread the first book but I also wanted to read it quickly so I decided to screw it and just read the second one. I was surprised by how much I forgot but after a while everything became clearer and I got comfortable.
The story progressed a lot in this book, I'd say. Sometimes it felt like not much is happening and it could even border with being boring, but I always enjoyed it. It may be a bit slow but I liked it.
I also really liked reading about these characters who I grew to like evwn though in the beginning I was confused who's who. My favourite one is probably Edith but I also really like Voleta.
In the end I really enjoyed it. And with the revelation at the end I need the third book ASAP!!
