Great concept, but lost my attention several times. Felt like reading several trauma dumps that had little effect on character/plot development. Those trauma dumps were very dark but I was hoping for more psychological analysis, especially during the counselling sessions which felt more like comedic relief. Author has an amazing ability to be incredibly descriptive but spends too much time describing irrelevant events, making the story feel slow. Dog people may enjoy more than I did as a cat person.
