Fall and Rising by Sunny Moraine

Really liked this one. It's a good follow-up to Line and Orbit (which I had meant to reread before this came out but didn't get around to doing), but stands on its own fairly well too. The plot advances significantly in terms of the overall mytharc of this universe, and it was neat to see so many threads start coming together. The way that Lochlan and Adam's relationship changes and matures through this book was also really great to see - the nuance and the struggle in navigating their relationship while they both changed as people was well depicted.

I also really enjoyed a lot of the new characters we got to meet, especially those who are clearly going to have vital roles to play in the next book. I also liked the bits of Kae backstory we got here, which I think is nicely setting up the eventual Kae book. Definitely a good series to pick up for anyone who likes SF/space opera.
