Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood

5.0

Atwood is one of my favourite contemporary authors of dystopian fiction. The events in Oryx and Crake preceed those in The Year of the Flood, which I had read previously. Atwood questions what our society would become if individuals were able to alter genetics of different species, including humans. It's a graphic and often disturbing image of future that could happen. Whilst I enjoyed this book, I have to say that I preferred The Year of he Flood. Characters seem better developed and any inaccuracies seem to be ironed out.
