The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka
4.0
This book is confusing to say the least and not what I was expecting going in but it's a tale that at it's core is about whatever you want it to be about. Kafka isn't there spoonfeeding you what the man turning into a cockroach means.
Do you think its an allegory for society's treatment of mental illness or physical disability? Do you think it's about the crushing weight of corporatism? Do you think it's about emotional abuse?
For what its worth its a one of a kind book that, honestly I think most people should read at least once. It's ending however is really depressing but fitting given the direction it was going.
I really liked it.
