The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen
4.0

My fave thing about this book is it started off strong and ended on a strong note too! It was such a fun read and a nice palette cleanser. The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is because I would’ve loved if the writing had a little bit more world building just to create more of an immersive feel to create a connection with the readers and Carthya.

The mid-end had so much fast paced conflict which left me worried it would end on a cliffhanger, especially with the never ending whiplash of plot twists, however I found the ending to be sweet and satisfying. This book can definitely be read as a standalone book buttttt if I do end up reaching for the second book it most likely will be because I’ve had Tobias on my mind and just want to check up on how he’s doing …
