I loved learning more about the Vietnam War and really appreciated how the struggles within both in country and civilian life were depicted. I had no idea how dismissive people were to Vietnam vets and especially women vets. Frankie was a badass character. I admired her determination and heart, yet I liked how she definitely made mistakes and had ptsd. There was a lot of death and heavy topics as expected with war books and it seemed like everything bad that could happen did, but I really enjoyed the story and flew through this.
