Blazing the Trail by Deborah Cooke

3.0

The author did a great job on understanding a sixteen year's old perspective but something just seemed off and I realized I was not pleased with the dad in this series. Even though his daughter is very important to dragons and I know that part of growing up is figuring out how to handle your own problems, he does seem to leave her alone quite a bit. It was also strange to me that the main character went to a public school and this increased her chances of discovery. It also didn't fit in my brain that she would not live closer to other shifters (dragon or otherwise) if they were all needed to solve problems.

I do have to admit though, I was sad when this book ended, I would have loved to read more adventures.
