Master of Iron
by Tricia Levenseller
*3.5
I love duologies and need to read them more.
This was more action-filled than the first, which makes sense. It kept me entertained without a moment to be bored. Ziva grew from the last book, but still made me sigh whenever that growth was attacked and whatnot. But, as someone with anxiety, valid. She had her doubts and still questioned. Fair.
The world was still if-y to me with the world building. I wished we had gotten more about it. I did enjoy Ziva meeting other magic users and hoped we spent more time with them.
Kellyn is a sweetheart. So is Petrik. I wanted more from Temra, but alas.
This was a decent seris and I look forward to reading more from Levenseller!
