Did not finish book. Stopped at 25%.
Too much sexism and misogyny that is just there and not discussed or problematised. This author has no idea how to write women. You can write culturally and historically accurate portrayals of misogyny and sexism (and should since they are still very prevalent in the world) but it is still possible to reflect on them being problematic. Portraying women as liking being raped is not the way to go...
