I was planning on purchasing the duology before reading this first book from Target, but I was able to restrain myself at a bare minimum and not purchase it. Very glad for it. This book is fine, but forgettable. I'm writing this review a bit after I finished it, and I hardly remember anything from this book. It is a dark romance, but it’s really not that scandalous. Kind of boring, I won’t continue the series. Maybe I'm just not an art person?
