All the Families in My Town by Ophélie Célier, Thomas Piet, Ariane Caldin

5.0

Oh how picture books have changed from my own childhood! A beautifully illustrated book featuring soft watercolors and diverse skin colors, ages, body sizes, and genders. The journey takes the reader along on a beautiful tour of a small neighborhood of children and the people who raise them. Each family was beautifully diverse and showed situations that may be very different from what we might know or have experience with. Praise for a special highlight of the couple who chose to not have children- this is often a concept that gets lost or is not respected.
