Beach Read by Emily Henry

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy every second of this book. Some of the things I enjoyed: Both characters were all types of messed up in their own ways vs the usual guy with baggage and girl who has it all together; It seemed so much more realistic or maybe I was projecting cause boy have I been there lol (hot yet emotionally unavailable guy telling me “don’t fall in love with me” except this one meant it cause he had a whole girlfriend) ((wow I’m getting too comfortable on this app lmao)) NO REGERTS, anyway, Gus definitely brought up some memories I didn’t enjoy in that aspect; I really enjoyed the pace of the book. I won’t lie some parts got me real angry and annoyed- cue more projection here, however that’s what a good book does right?? It makes you FEEL

Oh! I also enjoyed how they spent so much more time “getting to know each other” and just hanging out and flirting instead of jumping right into the sex. Oh and of course the whole father-daughter love, the letters... bawling. Parent-daughter love is my weakness. Omg the proposal at the end, with the writing on the note marry me- like the notes they would write each other STOPPPPPP. It’s that I cried because perfection. I know. Whatever, I don’t believe in cheesy. I’m too much of a hopeful romantic for that lol
