What Does Consent Really Mean?
by Thalia Wallis, Joseph Wilkins, Pete Wallis
What Does Consent Really Mean by Pete Wallis, Thalia Wallis, and Joseph Wilkins is a graphic novel that follows several classmates following the sexual assault of a classmate as they discuss the term consent and what consent means. This graphic novel had a great discussion about consent, healthy relationships, and the pressures that teens of different sexualities and genders face. It also included sexual health resources at the end and had a great art style. Despite this, the graphic novel featured a character that had pressured his girlfriend into sex who had a quick turnaround and was too quickly forgiven. Also, at times, the dialogue was felt silted. Overall, this graphic novel is an important and educational read but the quick turnaround of the character lowers the quality of this book. 4/5
