Of Flames and Curses by Whitney L. Spradling
5.0
TW: death, parental abandonment, parental suicide, blood and gore, murder, capture, torture
Lainey has lost everyone close to her. With her sisters mysterious death and a diary entry she found, Lainey questions everything she thought she knew about the world and her life.
Leaving the world she knows, Lainey discovers a whole new world in grave danger. The fate of this new world may rest in her hands. Can she come to terms with her fate?
I love this book and can’t wait for more. There is a little bit of spice.
The characters are well developed and I found myself invested in them and what would happen. The is so much action you don’t know what will happen next. More twists and turns than a roller coaster. I love that even when I thought I knew what was going to happen I was wrong.
It didn’t end with a huge cliffhanger, but enough of one that you want to read the next book.
If you love fantasy with a little romance/steam you will love this book!
