To start with I was kinda intrigue by this series. The mystery of it. But the more I read the more it dragged. The writing was lacklustre with the plot not really moving anywhere in this book. We have yet to find out what happened in their past that resulted in losing Scarlett and at this point I can’t really say I’m even invested anymore.
I really wanted to like these books bc people were raving about them online but I couldn’t even make it through the second one.
Why is Scarlett so 2D and dull? The whole plot basically rests on her and who she is and it cannot carry the book at all. She is a truly a weak MC. I’d hoped for more from such a popular book series with good reviews.
