Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov

5.0

Lolita's rate of enchanting five stars reveals my high regards for the totality of the book. The question here depends not on how much I liked the book but how accomplished it is and welp! it achieved both. In context, I despised the plot after first knowing that it will tackle pedophilia and the likes but since I'm delving into classics I might as well try. I will strongly recommend this to be read only as it is, as a novel, as Lolita.

The strengths of the book are its alluringly seductive writing style, making the reliability of the manuscript deceptive and yet charming, brilliant usage of symbolism to make the reading experience a delighting ride, magnificent interblend of French language, psychological contexts, and literary word plays, and lastly, its strategic exposition in the very idea of love that reveals the differences of views and personalities showing how our perception of love differs into the most meaningful ways.
