This was different…
When I read the reviews on this story, I thought this was going to be a repeat of Ashton and Tori. It seemed like that was where the story was headed at first but I was pleasantly surprised. I was very apprehensive because I thought this was going to be another underwhelming love story but Nye and Launz just had a star crossed love, even if it was tampered with. As their journey unfolded, I saw that maybe the decades apart were what they needed so that they wouldn’t be overshadowed by the toxic energy of the Gunnery Sergeant and the weight of a youthful mistake. Although both still finding their way, adult Nye and Launz were much better for and to each other.
