Elektra and Wolverine: The Redeemer by Yoshitaka Amano, Greg Rucka

This is 100% the kind of book I wish I could write.

Not sure I understand all the fair-to-middlin' reviews. Is it because people are thinking of it as a graphic novel? It's not, it's a short story with illustrations.

Two awesome characters taken out of the world of comic books and put into fiction, and non-canon at that. I mean, fanfic, right?

But if I have a favorite thing to read about, it's teenage girls discovering their powers. So even though the story has a few clearly visible seams (Elektra would never have killed the dude in the beginning until the girl went back to bed, come on) there still wasn't a thing about it I didn't love.
