The Baby Decision: How to Make the Most Important Choice of Your Life by Merle Bombardieri

4.0

I’m definitely more in the leaning towards a childfree life camp, but I still think this book is useful. The author talks about how “Because this issue often generates a lot of anxiety and tension, many couples make their decision about having a child prematurely simply because a decision—any decision—relieves their sense of panic” and I think that holds true for a lot of couples. It struck a chord with me wen the author takes about being intentional with your decision making. I think, too, that there are several very useful strategies presented in this book that are useful for helping to make a variety of decisions.

I will say that I have a knee-jerk negative response to the book title “the most important decision of your life”. I will say, the author addresses this in her prologue and I think she made some fair points for why she phrases it this way.
