I think I liked it?
The book's opening is stunning, and it drew me right in. The tension between Unn and Siss was like a taut string.
However, as we moved on to Unn's ice palace excursion, I started to struggle. The descriptions of the ice went on and on, and I just felt completely lost (I assume that was probably intentional from the author's side, considering how the story progresses).
When I tried reading this book a year ago, I was so confused by the ice palace excursion, that I stopped reading the book altogether, haha.
This time around though, I pushed through, and I would say that I was rewarded greatly.
It's quite a sad story, but very beautiful.
