A Tempest of Tea follows Arthie, an ambitious business owner who sells tea by day and blood by night, despite it not being completely legal since vampires aren't exactly accepted members of society. When her afterhours business venture is put into jeopardy, she is made an offer to save her business and maybe even more than that. On her journey to save her beloved business, Spindrift, with her friend Jin, Arthie and her crew encounter countless roadblocks that keep readers on their toes. This book is filled with young adult romance, heists, surprising reveals, politics, and, of course tea.
Arthie is truly one of my new favorite female leads. She is cunning and quick witted. I loved this book and the relationship between the characters. Since this book offers multiple points of view, you get the opportunity to really get to know the each character on a deeper level by not only seeing what goes on in their heads, but how their actions are perceived by others in the crew.
A truly fantastic read.
