starlightbooktales 's review for:
Cold the Night, Fast the Wolves
by Meg Long
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this arc in exchange for an honest review
When the publisher reached out to offer me an early copy, I could not say no. Now I don’t read the synopsis of a book often, but this one immediately caught my attention. I mean wolves, a race, and found family? How could I not want to read that?
However, I had so many issues with the pacing. It felt like it took FOREVER for the actual race to start. And then it was over before I knew it. I was so looking forward to this epic snow race but was let down. I barely had time to process what happened.
And I can honestly say, I don't remember the characters at all. Nothing about them especially the main character stuck out to me. They just all blur together at this point.
I just wanted and expected more.
