Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice

Dark, dramatic, atmospheric. I really enjoyed the experience of reading this book slowly in between my essays and assignments.
Claudia and Lestat are quite the interesting characters, and they definitely made this book for me. Reading about Claudia's experience of being a vampire in the body of a 5 year old was a very interesting experience, and reading from Louis' perspective, a vampire who feels so conflicted about his own being and the faith in good vs evil, was somehow relatable as well.
Beside the drama there was also some room for humor, and it had a nice balance to that in my opinion.
Anne Rice's writing style was beautifully atmospheric and gothic, and flowed very well with the drama of the story. Although the pacing was quite slow, which you have to be in the mood for.
