The Hollow by Jessica Verday
2.0

I wanted to like this book, really. I thought it's a dark fantasy with no happy ending and with a serious, sad theme. But this story is a boring mix of a cook and a hobby book. I can't really describe how much I hated this story, because after 500 pages nothing really happened, I couldn't find the big plot. It's a first book of a trilogy, OK, but there isn't much fantasy in this, maybe I'll find it in the next installment? It has an interesting element, the horror town thing, but Verday couldn't use it. I gave two stars, because there IS potency to be a better book, and has no happy-sloppy ending. (But I can't believe it they publish a book where the plot is nonexistent: the main character just eats, sleeps, cooks and goes to school in 500 pages.)
