Hidden Currents by Christine Feehan

I read through some of the reviews for this book beforehand to get an idea of what to expect. I didn't see this book as being dark. Maybe that's because I tend to read way darker books than this so this was tame/mild. I didn't mind what Elle went through because that was part of the storyline with her and Jackson. I mean he went through trauma overseas and she helped him through that. Same premice for her, so no it didn't bother me.

What bothered me with this book was what has bugged me about most of this author's books...the insane, constant repeating of inner dialogue. It's too much. It's like 50 pages of the same...I'm not worthy, I don't deserve someone like you...BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! Elle constantly saying she can't let her sisters heal her was overused. We went through this same crap in all the other books and it gets old.

I'm glad this was the last book. I really couldn't stand Elle for most of this. Jackson, I actually like. He was more friendly and personable than he was made to look in prior books. I'm not sure I cared for this ending. Felt very rushed.
