Ok, NOW I'm done. Burnt out of Frieda McFadden, finally. Just as well, as this is probably the best one I've read. A much more gripping premise and the pacing really worked for me. The stakes and tension rose satisfyingly, it's just a shame that McFadden's characters were characteristically bland and uncompelling, and her overall themes as pointless as ever. Still, she's always fun for a turn-off-your-brain time.
