Josephine Against the Sea by Shakirah Bourne

4.0

This was a quick, entertaining read in a vibrant, new-to-me setting with likable characters and a fun story. The writing was engaging and descriptive and the fantasy/fairytale (or horror?) aspect of the story was exciting and a bit scary towards the end, not going to lie. I don't like snakes! Anyway, I'd definitely recommend this one. It made for a nice escapist library read and had nice messaging about grieving and growing up. 4 stars.
