**audiobook** I believe I listened to one of the earliest if not first translation into English of this novella. Impactful and short, this story contains a sort of other worldly quality to it. The narrator is so far removed that he hardly seems to have any semblance of control over his life but this spirals deeply as he begins to find himself near the end.
