This book feels like a combination of Harry Potter and Divergent. The world building is extravagant. The citadel and parapet are just locked in visually in my brain. The book did feel very predictable and cliche-y, but I think at this point in time, we've kind of exhausted the plots, twists, and tropes that are available to write about. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the story and never got bored. It is also very plot heavy and there are a lot of Easter eggs (imo) that hint to how the story will play out.
