I read through this with a friend after we both finished reading A Series of Unfortunate Events. We delved in and noticed a lot of fun things and uncovered some mysteries but came away with more questions that answers -- and more desire to keep reading the extraneous books in the world. This, I suspect, is Snicket (Handler)'s point. We're now reading All the Wrong Questions together to get some answers! And hopefully more questions.
