Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley
3.0
I loved learning about the traditions and beliefs of the Ojibwe.
And in my opinion the main character highlighted the struggle of having a mixed heritage pretty well.
However I thought the plot twists in the end were getting a little too much and crazy and I'm actually still wondering what was in the love potion, that made the meth different. Maybe I didn't understand it, but I'm pretty sure it was never explained.
Also I kinda hated the romance aspect of the book. I know every human can develop feelings, but it all seemed so unprofessional. Like why are you working in the fbi at 22? ( maybe he was lying about that too ig? I'm not sure).
To be honest I'm happy they didn't stay together because the relationship felt kinda weird, rushed and forced.
