I chose to read this book for my 9th grade (14 yrs old) summer reading. I've always loved historical fiction and the WWII period. This book still makes me emotional when thinking about it, it was sad but an amazing read. Highly recommend.
Minor: Death of parent, War, Child death, Sexual violence, Physical abuse, Antisemitism, Rape, and Sexual assault
I wouldn't say anything is too graphic, but the book does deal with some major topics.
