Brazen: Rebel Ladies Who Rocked the World
by Pénélope Bagieu
I enjoyed this, I found the art fun, the stories interesting and I'm going to do more research into many of these women because they sound so interesting. Plus, Temple Grandin.
Having said that, I don't think this was completely honest. I don't mean the book is making stuff up, but I don't think it's willing to acknowledge anything these women might have done as bad, which is understandable, but a little bit annoying. Also I disliked the clear disdain for Christianity or any form of conservative morals.
CW: sexism, rape, sexual assault, child marriages, racism, over sexualistaion in content and occasionally art, war, domestic abuse, conspiracy, ableism, animal cruelty, transphobia
