Animal Farm by George Orwell is a moral fairy tale where the animals of Manor Farm rise up against their human owner, Mr Jones, in the hope of creating a fair and equal society where they are free and happy. However, they end up under the dictatorship of a pig named Napoleon, who is guarded by dogs, and the situation of the animals comes increasing worse.

It was an interesting and challenging read and Orwell did initially encounter difficulty getting the book published, largely due to fears that the book might upset the alliance between Britain, the United States, and the Soviet Union in 1945.
