The Silent Girls
by Ann Troup
Starting this book I didn't even know what to expect. To tell the truth I completely forgot I signed up for it. I know I'm such an idiot. However, when I received my e-mail allowing me to get my free copy I was amazed at how easily I fell into it.
Originally I found it strange reading about a main character who is a little older than the YA's I'm used too. However once I had gotten used to Edie and her way of speaking the flow of the story was easy to get into, this happened probably around page 5. Edie returns to her childhood home after the death of her aunt, little did she know that there would be a mountain to do when she returned.
Falling into a web of lies, deceit and darkness Edie is thrown into the past with full force. Although there were inklings of what was happening, most of the time through this story I came away from my breaks with more questions than answers. The ending showed some amazing revelations, some I expected some I did not and it was a really enjoyable read.
I would recommend this book to others to read because I loved this book. Ann Troup's writing is brilliant and easy with a perfect flow.
