I didn't expect to love this book. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was totally invested in this relationship.
I'm not generally a hate to love fan. I think it really helps in this case that as a reader you can see the way things have been misconstrued and misunderstood by Lucy without needing to swap to Josh's perspective.
Does it get to a borderline saccharine place by the end? Perhaps.
Did this book keep me wonderfully distracted, invested and engrossed even though I read two thirds of it in a hospital emergency department, waiting? Yes.
There was just something so addictive about it.
