The Crown of Oaths and Curses by J. Bree

3.5/5.0
This book is fated mates, enemies to lovers so I was excited to read it. The world that the author has created is very cool and I like the idea of the book. But it fell flat for me for a couple of reasons. First, the book was very long and a lot of the conversations are super repetitive and didn’t help move the plot along. Second, Soren (MMC), a High Fae Prince hates the people of Rooke (FMC; witches), for good reason, but he continued to be terrible to her even when she had demonstrated her kindness and intentions for 600 pages! I kept reading because I loved Rooke’s character! Her character and the world that this books falls in is why I’ve given this book a higher rating than what I had originally planned.
