Q & A
by Vikas Swarup
I had seen, and thoroughly enjoyed, the movie prior to reading this book. I bought it for that reason, because the book is generally always better than the movie.
Well, in this case, the book is different to the movie, but just as enjoyable.
The book has the same premise as the movie, young, poor man enters game show and, astoundingly, manages to win the big prize after answering all of the questions, which he shouldn't be able to do, correctly.
The questions, and the stories behind how he is able to answer each question correctly, are different to the movie.
I thought that the story in the book was quite a bit darker than the movie, but it captivated me from the very beginning.
It is not written in flowery prose, but is written in an easy, story-telling fashion, which I enjoyed.
Very good read, I highly recommend it.
