The Sunlit Man by Brandon Sanderson
2.0

"A cosmere novel" is a very accurate description of the book.

The cosmere is my least favorite aspect of Sanderson's book. In fact, I think the books would be more enjoyable for me without it. A bunch of PROBABLE references to books I read years ago, or worse, story threads to tie to future books, which I'll read after I forget the details of this one. This book is quite related to Stormlight, not just cosmere. Ironically it was the best part of this book.
I was just bored. Didnt care about the characters, the tie ins or the villain. I guess I was curious who the MC was supposed to be, thats it. The world building was cool as usual but that's not enough. Some of Sandersons books, especially YA books like mistborn, have characters teaching others how to be a "good person". It's not something I enjoy.
Enjoyed the book via Graphic audio. Couldn't stand most of GA's works but this one was unobtrusive. The new ones (or I just got lucky ) are a lot less intrusive with the sfx.
