A lackluster but not unenjoyable finish to the series. I feel like this was more housekeeping than anything else, basically putting neat bows on all the plot points revealed over the last two books to set up --basically, finding out what we already had figured out in the first two books, if you were paying attention. Not bad, but nothing fantastic.

Another major quibble I have is about having George and Shaun ride into the sunset in their incestuous love affair (yes, I know it's not biological; doesn't matter, incest is not a biological taboo - it's a societal taboo to preserve a family unit, no matter how it's created) and... that's that? Seriously? That's it? Kind of a downer.

I honestly expected better, especially after that bang up tension of that first novel. So, les just say I'm experience a bit of post zombie let down, I guess. Not a bad book, but-- it could have been better, especially if her editor had smacked her when the incest angle came up.
