One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez

4.0

Lucid, vivid and impactful. One of the best books that I've ever read. It seems like a fable, a tale an old grandmother would tell sitting on a park bench and yet it seems real and close by. The way it deals with violence, love and the permanent human condition of solitude makes it one of the best pieces of literature in the world.
