Flaws of characters a main focus:
Complicated
While I really enjoyed The Housemaid, The Housemaid’s Secret was just a little lackluster in comparison. It was arguably a lot less predictable, but this time around I found myself asking “Why, Millie?” way more times than in the first one. For all the deception she faced in the previous book, she’s awfully trusting and easily manipulated in this one.
