3.5
This book is exactly what you might expect it to be - a lighthearted murder mystery centring on a retirment village community where the characters are genuinely entertaining and endearing. It is a little light on investigation - a couple of new pieces of evidence arise as the plot continues, but there isn't any real drive to find out new things. The resolution is still satisfyingly full of twists and turns, however. The main reason to read this is for its gentle humour and lovable characters.
Minor: Violence
Although there are murders (naturally) in the plot, the writing does not dwell on them and there is no detailed description of the act or the injuries sustained.
