Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor
5.0
This was quite a ride! I must say that Taylor's prose is incredibly beautiful, blossoming in every page as though words were flowers grown by the Orchid Witch herself. I am also very much in love with both her plotting and her characters. The story was cleverly crafted, and every single character was a whole world in themselves. I must confess my love for Thyon (who, by the way, deserves a whole book at the very least... And also a happy something with Ruza) and Calixte, whom I'd love to have seen more. Let's hope for another story in which they appear!
I also detected, and screamed in delight when I did, a veiled reference to the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy, and thus a clear connection between the two series. Which means that maybe, just maybe, their storylines can cross in future books!
Definitely looking forward to reading more from Laini!
