Odd Girl Out: An Autistic Woman in a Neurotypical World
by Laura James
It’s hard to rate a book like this. It’s certainly a good inside into a neurodivergent brain. I wish, she would have told more about the way to the diagnosis.
And I didn’t enjoy some of the retrospective episodes.
I liked the focus on her marriage, but sometimes the portrayal of her family felt a bit random and non cohesive. The part about her biological mother felt like another story entirely.
So, to sum it up, this did. have many informative points and is also a great advocate for the emotions of an autistic brain, but it might have needed a bit more editing.
