Such a cute book! I was worried that I wouldn’t have the same appreciation of Jaqueline Wilson at 22 compared to when I was 12. However, it only took me a few pages to be completely invested in her story. The plot was fun and quick paced with familiar faces such as Cam and Justine Littlewood making appearances. I loved how the book addresses real issues that many young children go through. Primarily, Jess Beaker’s mixed feelings about her mum's new relationship. My only criticism was how the relationship transpired (I won't give spoilers but If you’ve read it you should know what I mean) I didn’t find it at all realistic, and it only seemed to happen to serve a rushed final few chapters.
